v4.005 will be a huge update for the series with the new damage and ballistics modelling and testing is coming to a close on that but that’s not all the team are working on to improve the series. The team are busy updating the graphics engine to move to deferred rendering to improve the visuals.

This new technology will not only improve the external models – including the cool looking US bare metal skins but also reflections on glass inside the cockpit, something that has sometimes made IL-2 Great Battles Cockpits not look quite as detailed as their competitors but the results look great as you can see below.

The art team are also making great progress on the new Soviet pilots models which they have shared screenshots of:
