Huge news this week for jet fans! the Eurofighter Typhoon is coming to DCS World! A new studio has formed called TrueGrit Virtual Technologies and is led by a German former Eurofighter Typhoon instructor pilot called Gero Finke. He leads a team of 15 industry veteran’s who have experience working with Airbus, Grob, Eurocopter, Luftwaffe and also with Heatblur on their DCS: F-14 project and a lead coder who has worked on another leading flight simulation product aided by coders with PHD’s in maths and physics so this is a very strong team.
Those sim pilots of a certain age will remember DID’s EF2000 simulation released back in 1995. It was renowned not only for its complexity for a simulator of the time but also its dynamic campaign and advanced visuals when the Super EF2000 update was released with patches to add support for 3dFx cards.
In other news DCS:Supercarrier approaches its early access phase and the team has released more screenshots and a promo video which you can see below.
Also work on DCS: Mil Mi-24P Hind continues at a good pace with the cockpit well under way in its development phase and the team hope to see the start of the integration of flight dynamics and power plant from mid-April.
