1C Games announce three new titles

In a huge announcement 1C Games announced not one, not two but three new titles that will expand the IL-2 series and start a new franchise for the studio. The IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of X series will see a new game called¬†IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Bodenplatte which will feature aerial combat over the European Low-Countries taking in parts of the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. This ‘Battle’ (it was actually and operation but who cares?) takes place at the end of 1944 and into the early part of 1945 and for the first time in this part of the IL-2 franchise it will have a jet engine aircraft in the form of the mighty Me 262. Flyable aircraft will include:

  • – Bf 109 G-14
  • – Bf 109 K-4
  • – Fw 190 A-8
  • – Me 262
  • – P-51D
  • – P-47D
  • – Spitfire Mk.IX
  • – Tempest Mk.V
  • – Fw 190 D-9 (Collectors aircraft)
  • – P-38L (Collectors aircraft)

There will also be an AI B-25 as well as a host of new Allied and German ground units. Thats a great looking plane set that will no doubt be a big draw for US fans or the series with the inclusion of the P-51D, P-47D and P-38L.

WW1 fans and fans of 777 Studio’s Rise of Flight will no doubt be over the moon at the announcement of Flying Circus which will essentially be Rise of Flight re-built in 1C Game Studio’s Digital Warfare Engine with all the features that brings such as 64Bit support, DX11 and VR support. Released in ‘volumes’, Volume 1 will feature a 100x100km France map and the following aircraft:

  • – SPAD 13 C.1
  • – Sopwith Dolphin
  • – Sopwith Camel
  • – RAF S.E.5a
  • – Bristol Fighter
  • – Albatros D.Va
  • – Fokker Dr.1
  • – Fokker DVII
  • – Pfalz D.IIIa
  • – Halberstadt CL.II

Lastly following on from 1C Studio’s dabble with tanks in the ‘Battle of X’ series 1C Studio’s will now produce a spin-off of the IL-2 series called ‘Tank Crew’.¬†The game will feature a 100x100km map based on the southern portion of the Battle of Kursk including the village of Prokhorovka and town of Belgorod. The game will feature the following vehicles:

  • – SU-152
  • – GAZ-MM + 72K
  • – PzKpfw III Ausf.L
  • – PzKpfw IV Ausf.G

  • – Sd. Kfz. 10 + Flak38
